Evidence for Learning

EfL supports our multi-faceted work in evidencing, assessing, reviewing and planning for meeting the wide and unique needs of our learners. As part of this thorough assessment process, we also engage and involve parents and carers in helping us detail, monitor and respond to every tiny step or change on a pupil’s journey.

What is Evidence for Learning?

Evidence for Learning (EfL) is software than can be accessed through a web browser either on a computer or Mac as well as through an app on both Android and Apple devices to record a learner’s journey through both photographic and video evidence.

We have been using EfL for several years now and recently have been refining the way we use it within school. When photographs and videos are uploaded, teachers write observational notes.

How Can You Get Involved?

EfL allows the sharing of evidence to take place between school, parents and carers. This is a two-way process. Staff can upload photos and videos and you will be able to comment on the evidence that has been shared as well as allowing you to upload photographs or short videos of experiences that you have taken part in as a family.

How do I Sign Up?

If you are already signed up to use EfL and know your login in details then simply continue to access the site, remembering that you have the option to comment as well as upload your own evidence.

If you think you have previously signed up before but cannot remember your password, then ask us to reset it by emailing parents@theredway.net

Once it has been reset through school you will receive an email to the email address you had previously registered.

If you have not used the evidence for learning software before and would like to sign up, then please email parents@theredway.net with your full name and email address. There is an option to add two email addresses.
