Uniform at The Redway
An important part of taking pride in their appearance is for our pupils to wear school uniform until they are of post 16 age when they can make the decision to either continue wearing uniform or wear clothes of their own choice.
Our life skills curriculum is also an important area of personal development, it includes preparation for life after school and how to develop and support pupils with their independent dressing skills. We therefore encourage parents / carers to consider this when choosing clothing for their child to wear at school.
Our uniform is simple and aimed to be as comfortable and versatile as possible, giving thought to the sensory needs of some of our pupils.
Our Uniform
We appreciate that school uniform can be expensive. As such we have ensured that uniform can be purchased through high street suppliers. We do not require logos or branded items to be worn.
We do not have a season specific uniform (ie, summer or winter) but encourage parents to ensure that any clothing is suitable to keep their child either warm or cool where appropriate.
