Governors

The Governing Body is a small group of volunteers made up of parents, staff members, and people within the community who have a specific interest in The Redway School. A key role is to work with the Headteacher and senior management team to develop the strategic direction of the school and to act as ‘Critical Friends’ of the school.

A message from the Chair of Governors

Welcome to the section of the website where you can find out more about the Governors and the work that we do to support the school.

The Governing Body is required to meet up at least once each term but in reality, we meet up as a full Governing Body or as smaller groups much more frequently.

We each appreciate the outstanding work that is being done throughout the school, by both pupils and staff, and feel privileged to be involved in such an amazing school.

We work well and efficiently as a team with an emphasis on openness fully supporting the mission statement and ethos of the school. We also work together and provide challenge to the Headteacher, and the strategic Leadership Team to set and reach targets to strive for excellence across the whole spectrum of school life.

Should you be interested in becoming a Governor and supporting the work of the school please do not hesitate to contact by email at info@theredway.net or telephone 01908 200000.
