Outreach

At the Redway School, we recognise that there are times when children and young people are unable to attend school for an extended period.

Reaching out to children and their families; bringing a little bit of The Redway to you at home.

The Redway School Outreach Team

At the Redway School, we recognise that there are times when children and young people are unable to attend school for an extended period. This may be due to a variety of reasons including complex medical needs, ongoing illness, or postoperative recovery. We believe that it is very important that your children continue to receive educational input (where possible) and that they and their families still feel part of the school community.

Our Team

We have a small team of experienced staff whose role it is to visit children and young people in their home, offering a range of activities and experiences. The activities offered are in line with sessions held in school and take into consideration each child’s individual needs, likes and dislikes. Before sessions are offered a meeting will be arranged where parents/carers and the outreach team can discuss what will take place and what can be expected during a visit.  NB: Please note the Team will not be offering a care role (such as personal care, feeding or administering medication).
